The most important function of the Montana State University Alumni Association is keeping alumni connected – to MSU and to each other. Consequently, MSUAA compiles both public and private information about all alumni and MSUAA members. This notice is to inform you of how we use the information we collect, and how you can limit that use.

The Information We Collect:

MSUAA collects information about MSU alumni from various sources, including but not limited to:

• Information provided us, through correspondence, telephone, applications, e-mails and surveys
• Information we receive from our campus affiliates and affinity partners
• Information we receive from the MSU’s Registrar’s Office

Such information may include, but is not limited to, your:

• Name,address, telephone number, and e-mail address
• Birth date, class year
• Area of study, major and degrees received
• Participation in officially recognized activities and sports
• Honors and awards received

How The Information Might Be Used:

In addition to using the collected information for Montana State University and MSUAA programs, we consider outside requests for our alumni lists on a case-by-case basis.  We only share information when it seems reasonable and beneficial to our alumni.
