Scholarship Time at Montana State
Your Montana State University Alumni Association is putting dollars into the student body at MSU. It is the Alumni Association and our Board of Directors' priority to support the academic environment at MSU and what better way than to award some of the best and the brightest students with great scholarships. Alumni Association Scholarship Application forms are available from high school counselors across Montana or by request through the MSU Alumni Office at 1-800-842-9028. All scholarships must be postmarked before or on February 1, 2003.
Below are the scholarships the MSU Alumni Association is committed to continuing. What a tremendous way for us to give to our incredible students at MSU!
  • Montana District Scholarships -Ten high school seniors in Montana, who plan to attend Montana State University in fall 2003, will be awarded up to $1000 scholarships. These scholarship winners are selected by a committee of volunteer MSU alumni in each of 10 districts in Montana. This is a great way for the Alumni Association to support our great Montana students.
  • The Joe May Memorial Scholarship is another scholarship opportunity for Montana students who will be MSU freshmen in 2003. This scholarship will go to an applicant(s) of the Montana District Scholarship who shows commitment to academics and extracurricular activities. Lindsey Brown from Butte is on campus this fall with the help of this scholarship.
  • Non-Resident Scholarships - Up to two scholarships will be awarded to incoming freshmen students outside Montana, whose parent(s) attended MSU. A campus committee selects the recipients of this scholarship. Scholarship applications can be requested through the Alumni Office.
  • The Alumni Legacy Achievement scholarship is one of the greatest benefits offered to dues paying members of the Alumni Association. This program is an expression of appreciation to members who are sending their children to MSU. All scholarships are worth $500 and will be awarded to up to 10 students. All recipients must be continuing students, so this scholarship is not for incoming freshmen. Applications will be available at the Alumni Office. Deadline is March 1, 2003.
