Every
dollar that comes to the MSU Foundation brings
not only immediate help but also provides support
in perpetuity for MSU's programs. In fiscal year
2001-2002, 28 cents of every dollar was designated
by donors for current use, while 72 cents was
designated to be held and managed in endowment
funds. It is the earnings from endowed funds combined
with dollars designated for current use that enable
the Foundation to support MSU's colleges, departments
and programs.
