| Dear
Alumni, |
|
|
| Fall
has come and your campus is alive with the activities
that come along with the new school year. I participated
in the "Move In Day" project, helping students move
into the residence halls. In the process, I met
several alumni who were proudly bringing their children
to MSU. The kids had obviously been raised as Bobcats,
another generation for Montana State University.
It made my heart proud. |
| Recently,
I visited alumni in the Flathead Valley, Seattle,
Dallas, Houston and on campus. One of the benefits
of my job is the opportunity to meet such wonderful
people, MSU alumni. Cody, Class of 2002, came to
the pregame tailgate. We had lunch with Ross, class
of 1938. He has already participated in his 60-year
reunion. I met Bill, Jack, Kalli, Tom, Ben and Kathy,
Nancy and Gary and so many others. Their lives have
taken different career and personal journeys, however,
all shared one bond. The were proud graduates of
Montana State and were appreciative of the education
they received while here. We had fun and shared
laughs about college life in Bozeman. |
| Your
University is thriving. President Gamble has brought
an energy and momentum to the campus that is evident
in the classroom, in campus activities and within
the family of alumni. Today's students are getting
a quality education because of the dedication of
our faculty and staff. They are enjoying a rich
period of their life living in the Gallatin Valley. |
| Your
Alumni Association is here to serve you. Our Web
page shows upcoming events and travel opportunities.
Send your e-mail address to alumni@montana.edu
to receive our fun and informative electronic newsletter.
Join the Alumni Association. For $35 you will receive
some benefits, but most importantly, you will be
supporting an organization that is committed to
communicating with alumni and keeping your alma
mater in your mind. |
| When
you are in Bozeman, stop by the alumni center. The
coffee pot is always on and there is a soft drink
in the fridge. We are anxious to see you. |
