| Harold
Nelson, '70 Arch, Seattle, Wash., is co-author of
"The Design Way: Intentional Change in an Unpredictable
World; Foundations and Fundamentals of Design Competence."
Drawing on more than 20 years in the field of design research,
education and consulting, Nelson and Erik Stolterman have
written this work for an audience from diverse backgrounds
and interests. It is the first in a planned series on
design that will include volumes on design practice and
design learning. |
| Allan
Louden, '70 PSci, Wake-Forest, N.C.,.has served as
Director of Debate at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem,
N.C. since 1977. The squad has been ranked in the nation's
top 10 since 1985 and includes a national championship
in 1997. He teaches political communication at Wake Forest
and served as Elizabeth Dole's debate coach in the 2003
N.C. Senate race. |
| Mary
Ann Goetz, '71 Nurs, resides in Denver after 20 plus
years in Houston. She is a retired lieutenant colonel,
Army Nurse Corps, after serving in Operation Desert Storm.
She has been in pharmaceutical and medical device sales
for 25 years and is currently regional business director
for Medafor, Inc. |

Lipkowitz, '75 M Chem, and wife, Raima Larter,
'76 Chem, live in Horace, N.D. Ken is starting a new position
in August 2003 as chair of chemistry at North Dakota State
University, and Raima will be commuting to Washington,
D.C. to work at the National Science Foundation as a program
director. |
| Lynn
Myers, '74 SpCom, was named the Aurora (Colo.) Chamber
Woman of the Year for 2003. She has enjoyed a long career
in public service including being elected Arapahoe County
Commissioner in 2000. She is a successful businesswoman
and community leader. |

Gary Dewalt, '77 Chem, Avondale, Pa., senior scientist
and project manager with Quan Tech of Arlington, Va.,
has been named a recipient of the 2003 ASTM Award of Merit
and the accompanying title of fellow, the highest Society
recognition for individual contributions to standards
activities. |

Tamara (Seiter) Blake, '79 Agron, '87 M, Sausalito,
Calif., was appointed to the board of directors of Sequoia
National Bank of San Francisco in February 2003. She is
the executive vice president of Paul Financial, a mortgage
company, in charge of technology and mortgage operations,
in San Rafael, Calif. She lives with her husband Larry
and their Yorkshire terrier, Gibson. |
