| Dear
Alumni, |
| Summertime
in Bozeman. It is really very hard to explain.
There is a quietness on campus that comes
with the absence of students. A sense of peace
and rest as the faculty and staff reflect
on the past year and begin preparations for
the upcoming one. The blue skies and green
grass highlight the warm red brick of the
buildings. The sunset colors of orange and
gold on the Bridger and Absaroka mountain
vistas are absolutely breathtaking. The M
overlooks the campus as it always has and
seems to be satisfied with the view. It is
the place that we all learned to love; truly,
the last best place. |

| Summertime
in Bozeman. Many of the tourists are alumni coming home.
They stop by the Alumni Office to say "hi," visit a bit
and tell us about their time at Montana State. Young kids
get their first visit to the campus. Alumni stroll along
the Centennial Mall, reflecting on days of lectures, homework
and exams. Laughter is commonplace, as stories are shared
with the family. |
| Summertime
in Bozeman. Main Street. Traffic. Tourists. Friends. Favorite
hangouts. Sweet Pea. New Student Orientation. Football,
Cheerleading, Basketball, Music camps. Montana State University.
A constant of excellence, achievement, teaching and learning.
A place that generations of alumni have come to love. |
| It
is your alma mater. It is a wonderful time of year. Summertime
in Bozeman. If you can visit, please come. If not, take
a minute to remember. |
| Sincerely, |
