Jerry Nelson, '72 ESci, Casper, Wyo., was chosen to receive a national award from the Instructional Technology Council (ITC) in February. The award recognizes his "special contribution to the field of distance education."
Paul Gatzemeier, '72 EE, Billings, vice president of Centennial Power, a subdivision of MDU Resources, has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Centennial Energy Resources.
Marilyn (Braaten) Foscante, '73 Nurs, Apple Valley, Calif, maintained CRNI status (Certified Registered Nurse Intravenist) through the Infusion Nurses Society. She completed clinical ladder II at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley. Her daughter, PFC Stephanie Foscante, is stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center and son, Steve, lives in Tustin, Calif.
Bruce Gerlach, '73 Hist, has been promoted to executive vice president of First Security Bank in Bozeman. Gerlach joined the bank in 1972 and has served in most loan capabilities throughout his career. Prior to his recent appointment, Gerlach was a senior vice president with responsibilities in commercial loans and marketing.
Barbara (Krantz) Markham, '74 Nurs, Orlando, Fla., is employed by Children's Medical Services in Orlando. Her son, Gordon, age 21, is in pre-med at the University of Florida. Barbara continues to enjoy sunny Florida, but misses the Big Sky Country.
Teresa J. Krohn, '75 Bus, was recently promoted to a senior vice president of Sterling Savings Bank in Spokane, Wash. Krohn, who served as the marketing director for the bank, has 18 years of marketing experience in the financial services industry and has been with Sterling since 2001.
Loren Schillinger, '75 ChE, Indianapolis, Ind., is financial leader of Dow Agrosciences Global Plant Genetics and Biotechnology business unit.
Cheryl (Driver) Lenox, '76 Nurs, Billings, is a registered nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Billings Deaconess Clinic, where she has been employed for over 20 years.
Mitzi (Nuber) Gligorea, '78 PE, Gillette, Wyo., received her National Board Certification for Teachers in Early Childhood through Young Adulthood Library Media in November 2002.
Karen (Asbridge) Grauel, '78 ChE, has been living near London, England, for the past two years, working as a project engineer.
Albert Nelson, '78 MCET, Westminster, Colo., was recently elected vice president of the Board of Directors of the Adoption Homestudy and Training Agency, located in Denver, as well as elected to serve on the board of the Energy Communities Alliance in Wash., D.C. He presently is employed by the City of Westminster. Daughter, Carol, and son-in-law, Nate, presented he and his wife with granddaughter Isabella Rebecca Lucero on Dec. 8.
James Boltz, '79 ChE, Big Lake, Alaska, was promoted to chief operating officer of Petro Star Inc. in July. He was previously vice president of engineering.
