Phonathon Receives $10,000 Pledge
The largest gift ever pledged during the phonathon was received this fall by the College of Nursing. A $10,000 pledge was made by Marian Setter, '44 Nurs, of Great Falls. She designated the gift for nursing general support.
"Gifts of this magnitude from our friends and alumni are just wonderful," said College of Nursing Dean Elizabeth G. Nichols. "Such a gift indicates a great deal of confidence in the quality and competence of our faculty and students. I take the stewardship of these donations very seriously. We want to be the best program there is, and this will help us to achieve that goal. Thank you, Marian, so very much."
Annual Fund Director Jan Bosch said this was not a typical phonathon gift. "Our student callers were excited and inspired by such a generous gift," she said. "The student caller who visited with Ms. Setter was thrilled, especially when she found out it is the largest gift ever pledged during the phonathon. It certainly helped us meet our phonathon goal for the College of Nursing."
The average phonathon pledge for fall 2004 was $73.
