Honored students are nominated by faculty in their college or department. The award winning students each select a mentor to be honored with them at the event. Wesley's mentor is Bok Sewell, MSU animal and range professor.
Wesley received the Wilson Award for vital contributions to campus life at the 81st annual Day of Student Recognition last year. Wesley's activities at MSU include: Society for Range Management, president; chancellor of Alpha Zeta; Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity; Range Club; Wildlife Society; Ag. Student Council officer; Block Bridle Club officer; Grieko Animal Science Award. He is the son of Allen and Donna Wesley.
