From Alumni Association Director
Dear Alumni,
Montana State University. What an amazing place! When I,m on campus, I am thrilled to learn of student and faculty achievements and successes. Traveling around the state and nation, I'm inspired with the leadership roles and involvement our alumni have in their professions and within their communities. You are a strong and powerful group. Montana State University is proud to have you in the greater alumni family.
The results of the recent Alumni Attitude Survey are shared with you in this issue of the Collegian. Thank you for your responses. We learned a great deal regarding your thoughts and interests and look forward to implementing some changes in our programming in the near future.
Continue to help us. How can we better serve you? How can we keep you informed of issues important to the campus? Would you like to be more involved, and, if so, how? We are constantly seeking alumni volunteers who will assist us in putting a party or picnic together. Maybe you know a student who might be interested in Montana State. Would you be willing to share that name with us? Does your company offer internships or might there be a job opening that could be filled by a Montana State University alum? Talk to us; we are listening.
Recently, the university community adopted a Five-Year Vision statement which addresses the question, "What will Montana State University look like in five years?" At a recent meeting of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, the vision statement was endorsed and a commitment made to have 25 percent of all alumni involved in some manner helping the university to achieve those goals. In order to do that, we need you. Take a look at the document at www.montana.edu/????? See where you might like to get involved.
I wish you an enjoyable spring season. As I write this, there is new snow on the ground in Bozeman. When you receive this we will have some hints of spring . . . even in Montana. I know that you remember those spring days of warm sunshine glistening from the brilliant white Bridger Mountains. What a glorious sight.
Thanks for staying in touch.
Sincerely,
Jaynee Drange Groseth, '73, '91
