From Alumni Association Director
Dear Alumni,
Everyone in the Alumni Office has been excited and almost hyper since we began the Centennial Celebration of the Alumni Association in January of 2003. We have all wanted to make the celebration appropriate for this incredible milestone. We wanted to pay homage to our past and involve others in the promise of our future. We are nearing the end. We have had fun; we've met alumni from across generations; and we have heard stories of our campus that have warmed the heart and tickled the funny bone.
As I write this letter, we are just a few days from the big celebration, Homecoming 2003. Phone calls, letters, registration forms and e-mails tell me that alumni are "coming home" from all over the United States. They are coming to that place that made a difference in their lives. I know that they will walk along the Centennial Mall and remember going to class. They'll stop by a few places on Main Street to taste a few memories. Most of all, they will reflect on their days at MSC or MSU and be proud to be alumni.
President Gamble is providing great leadership to our university. Quality is evident throughout the programs; excellent students are enrolled; and tremendous faculty are engaged in the classroom and in research. It is an exciting place---just as it was when you were here.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Montana State University Alumni Association, I salute all of you. Cheers to 100 Years. You are Montana State University. Don't ever take your role for granted. You are Montana State's past and its present. Because of your loyalty, you will help secure its future.
Thank you for the privilege of serving you as the Executive Director of the Alumni Association. I speak for our staff when I say that we are honored to represent you to the campus and the MSU community. Here's to another 100 years! Sincerely, Jaynee Drange Groseth, '73, '91 Executive Director, Montana State University Alumni Association
