Rev. Robert Ortmeyer, '42 M, Des Moines, Wash., enjoys receiving Montana State-ments, the Alumni Association electronic newsletter, each month. He is 86 and walks two miles a day. He also enjoys following the Seattle Mariners, Seahawks and Sonics and, of course, the MSU Bobcats.
Class Notes 1950s
Jake Jabs, '52 AgEd, Highlands Ranch, Colo., is president and CEO of American Furniture Warehouse, headquartered in Englewood, Colo. Jake received a Humanitarian Award in honor of his 25-plus years of involvement with the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. Jabs has earned the title of national vice president of the MDA and has donated more than $1 million to the charity.
Shirley (Reese) Duderstadt, '53 Nurs, lives in Tomball, Texas. She and her sister, Ginny (Reese) Grossman, '57 Nurs, Albuquerque, N.M., thoroughly enjoyed their visit to campus last summer. "Being one of the "calendar" cheerleaders was such fun!"
Kalli (Lister) Deschamps, EX '53, Missoula, had her book Shroud Across the Valley published. An excerpt can be found on her Web site at www.rafterd.com.
Frances (Clark) Parriera, '58 Nurs, Petaluma, Calif., and husband, Lionel, are very involved in VFW - local and district. She is the outgoing District 16 Commander. R. W.
"Lefty" Danielson, Jr., '58 GS, is retired and living in Merced, Calif., with his wife Sally. The highlight of their year is the fact that both grandsons are back at their home stations safe and sound from their tours in the Gulf--one grandson in the Navy on a fast cargo ship supporting the USS Abraham Lincoln and the other in the Army in Kuwait City.
