Class Notes 1970s
Lynell Odenbach, '76 Zool, Naperville, Ill., recently retired from the federal government after 27 years of service. Since 1997 she was employed as the assistant special agent-in-charge for the Office of Inspector General, USDA, in Chicago, Ill. During her 25-year law enforcement career, she was stationed in Texas, Maryland and Washington, D.C. She is married to Kim Widup, U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Illinois, and has two children, Katherine, 10, and Christopher, 13.
Andy Kukolax, '76 Micro, Helena, is author, photographer and publisher of the Ultralight Wildflower Guide to the Central Montana Rocky Mountains, a plant identification book with 665 photos describing 333 species, now available at Internet book sellers.
Tamara (Seiter) Blake, '79 Agron, '87 M, Sausalito, Calif., is executive vice president of Paul Financial, a mortgage banking company in San Rafael, Calif., and on the Board of Directors of Sequoia National Bank in San Francisco.
Virgil Smail, '79 M, '81 PhD, has been appointed department head of grain science and industry at Kansas State University. His appointment is effective Sept. 1.
