Susan Guldborg, '91 Eng, Savoonga, Alaska, is teaching in Savonga, a small native Alaskan village on St. Lawrence Island in the middle of the Bering Sea.
Christopher Wilson, '91 Arch, San Diego, Calif., was promoted to associate partner in the architecture firm Gordon H. Chong & Partners. Wilson is a project architect with 30 years of experience.
Maria Jordan, '91 Art, Minneapolis, Minn., has been hired by BWBR Architects of St. Paul as an interior designer.
Steve DiMarco, '92 Econ, Seattle, Wash., recently became engaged to Amy Pearson (University of Colorado). They reside in Seattle where Amy is an architect with Callison Architecture and Steve is a business development manager with Microsoft. A summer wedding is planned.
Jennifer DeVoe, '93 L&S, and husband, Alton Straub, live in Portland, Ore., where she is completing a residency in family medicine at Oregon Health and Sciences University.
Joe Chrisman, '94 PSci & Econ, Madison, Wis., has been named special assistant to the State Auditor of Wisconsin. Since 1997 he has served as a program evaluator and legislative analyst. As special assistant to the State Auditor, he will act as a liaison to the Legislature and general public, oversee administrative matters within the Legislative Audit Bureau, and coordinate special projects on behalf of the State Auditor. Chrisman moved to Wisconsin after earning a master's degree in public affairs from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. In Madison he also enjoys his role as organist and director of music at Westminster Presbyterian Church where he conducts the 40-voice Chancel Choir and coordinates the overall music program for the 600-member congregation.
Capt. Joe Grigg, '94 BuMk, Colorado Springs, Colo., took command of the Army's 183rd Maintenance Company at Fort Carson, Colo., in February 2002. The 183rd Maintenance Company has 225 personnel assigned to provide maintenance and repair parts support to 47 major customers.
Alycia (Nathe) Marlenee, '95 Hist, Scobey, recently accepted a history teaching position in the Scobey schools. She will also be the varsity girl's basketball coach.
Brian Baker, '95 Phys, Boulder, Colo., has earned a doctorate in physics from the University of Florida and joined the staff of Ball Aerospace and Technologies of Boulder in October.
Jereen (Rice) Wolverton, '95 CE, '96 M, Ypsilanti, Mich., was promoted to associate at Smith Group JJR. Smith Group JJR is a nationally prominent planning, design and engineering firm.
Brian West, '97 ChE, recently relocated from Portland, Ore., to Newark, Del., where he has added a twist in his career from semiconductor to solar. He was promoted from process engineer to project manager in September. He will be taking on the company's newest pilot PV solar cell process and starting up a three-line continuous module process.
Scott Huck, '97 I&ME, Watertown, S.D., is a project manager for Angus-Palm Industries, Watertown.
Steven Lopez, '98 MTA, Littleton, Colo., works for Crosspoint Digital and Post. He works on various corporate videos and commercials, creating DVD and multimedia presentations, and every once in a while, a movie.
Billie Jo Norris, '98 AgBu, Mission, Kan., has been working for General Mills for two years and was promoted to merchandiser in Kansas City. She will be working at the Kansas City Board of Trade buying wheat for flour mills.
