Above Photo:"This year inaugurates the playing of the Bobcat-Grizzly football games in Butte. The annual game was played before a monster crowd which packed Butte's Clark Park. A large crowd of Bobcat fans, including almost the entire student body, went over in a special train to Butte and had a happy time. There is no doubt but that the game being played in Butte is a fine venture from the standpoint of both schools." —1927 Montanan yearbook

"The Big Day of the sports year. Both schools decamped to Butte where they spent a happy day making snide remarks about each other's schools, imbibing a bit of cheer-up and attending the game - at least some of them attending the game. Head Stomping Grounds was the Finlen Hotel, where the lobby was crowded to bursting with jovial fans displaying pompons, chrysanthemums and here and there a black eye."
