Class Notes 1990s
Scott Chauvet, '91 ElEd, became the school superintendent and k-12 principal in Stanford. He had taught and coached in his hometown of Big Sandy for the past 10 years.
Mark Munsinger, '92 CE, recently started his own consulting firm in Kalispell, and is in the process of adopting a Chinese baby.
Grant W. Axton, '93 MTA, Torrence, Calif., is producing a new series for A&E, "24/7."
Rachael, '93 Art, and Jason Hundhausen, '02 ME, recently moved to Los Alamos, N.M., where Jason is working for Los Alamos National Lab. He received a master's degree in mechanical engineering in May from Purdue University.
Kelly Berdahl, '94 Music, is currently the director of bands at Bozeman High School. He was hired in June of 2002 following eight years as the band director of East Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, Calif. His current teaching assignments include the BHS March Band, Pep Band, three concert bands and two jazz bands.
Tamara Fisher, '95 ElEd, Polson, earned a master's degree in gifted education from the University of Connecticut.
Janelle (Pedersen) Jones, '95 BioS, Oro Valley, Ariz., was presented with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences on May 8. She has gone on for residency training in internal medicine at the University of Arizona Affiliated Programs in Tucson, Ariz.
John Hartman, '96 PhD, Saint Leo, Fla., has joined Saint Leo University as an associate professor of chemistry in the School of Arts and Sciences. Prior to joining the Saint Leo faculty, he was an assistant professor of chemistry at Western Illinois University.
Klint Fisher, '98 Arch, Spokane, Wash., has been promoted to associate with Northwest Architectural Company. He currently serves as project architect for SIRTI and is project manager/designer for the Errol Schmidt Athletic Center at Saint George's School in Spokane and construction administrator for Lincoln Middle School in Pullman, Wash.
Justin Buls, '99 M, Grand Forks, N.D., was presented with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences on May 8. He has gone on for residency training in family medicine at the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Melissa (Atherley) McFadgen, '99 Arch, Spokane, Wash., has been promoted to associate with Northwest Architectural Company. She is currently serving as project architect for Auburn Elementary School No. 13 and recently concluded her design and project-management role on the newly opened Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center in Moscow, Idaho.
Timothy Vanek, '99 Micro, Challis, Idaho, was called to active duty in June. SSG. Vanek is a member of the Idaho National Guard. He serves as a meteorological specialist in HHB 1/148th Field Artillery, 116th Calvary Bde., Pocatello, Idaho. He will be departing with his unit for Iraq in November. When not serving in the Army National Guard, he is employed as a realty specialist with the Dept. of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management Challis Field Office, Challis, Idaho. Steve Green, '99 CE, received a Master of Business Administration from the Univ. of Washington on June 12.
