1950s
Frances (Clark) Parriera, '58 Nurs, Petaluma, Calif., is president of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Petauma 1929, for the second time. Husband Lionel is trying for junior vice, eventually leading to Dept. of Calif. commander. Both are staying very busy.
1960s
Don Loftsgaarden, '61 Math, '63 M, '65 PhD, and wife, Nenette (Blake) Loftsgaarden, '63 GS, Missoula, both retired from teaching in the Dept. of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Montana in May 2002. He taught in the department for 35 years, and she taught for 20 years. Their three daughters graduated from MSU: Debra (Loftsgaarden) Carlstrom, '87, Lisa (Loftsgaarden) Peterson, '91, and Meta (Loftsgaarden) Boyer, '95.
Margaret (Jacobson) Coxwell, '65 ElEd, '95 EdD, recently became the assistant dean of the Graduate School at Minot State University, N.D. She also teaches in the education department there.
Ken Vannice, '67 EE, '67 GS (Theatre Arts), Portland, Ore., has been inducted as a Fellow of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology. He is currently employed as an engineering project manager for the Lighting Controls Division of Leviton Manufacturing Co.
Fred Jessett, '68 AppSci, Sammamish, Wash., has won second place in the Maryland Writers' Association 2004 Annual Writing Contest with his creative nonfiction entry, "Death on the Rez: A Quartet of Scenes."
1970s
Terri (Kiemele) Krohn, '75 Bus, Post Falls, Idaho, recently won two Tellys for excellence and creativity. The Telly Award is the premier advertising industry award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs. Krohn is a senior vice president and marketing director for Sterling Savings Bank.
