What is Alumni Association Membership and why is it important?
The first question that has to be answered is "Who are alumni?" Anyone who has completed a semester (or quarter) at Montana State University is considered to be an alumnus of MSU. Alumni Association members are the alumni who have paid their membership dues to become members in your MSU Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association has been a vital part of MSU for over 100 years and it is the association's members that make it possible. Your Alumni Association membership dues help support programs such as The Collegian, Homecoming, class reunions, scholarships, the annual Alumni Association Calendar, Cat/Griz Satellite
parties, alumni events across the country, and scholarships among the many other outreach activities and publications. All alumni benefit from these programs and want these programs to continue, but without the faithful support of association members, they would cease.
In addition to supporting Montana State University, Alumni Association Members also enjoy great benefits such as car rental, hotel, travel, entertainment, MSU Bookstore, and Museum of the Rockies discounts.
