Hometown/where you consider home now: I was born in Bozeman and lived here until I was nine years old when my family packed up and headed to Las Vegas NV. My family came back to Bozeman when I was a sophomore in high school where I graduated from Bozeman High. I fell in love with Montana again (thanks mom and dad), I love where I live and Bozeman will always be home.
Favorite MSU tradition: A location here on campus stand out, a little place called the duck pond. I have been going there since I can remember and love that I get to see it every day and watch small children tossing bread crumbs or first loves gazing off. It is somewhere that is near and dear and always brings a smile to my face. It has a different meaning now, instead of thinking of the ducks and where they live, it brings me home to MSU.
Favorite food: Salad, beans, tomatoes and dark chocolate (not together).
What I like about my job: Our members! Watching members come to events use their member cards, and see how proud they are to be part of what that represents. They show their blue and gold pride!
In my spare time, I like to: Embrace life! I love to mountain bike, hike, camp, and fish and just enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. I like to travel and always say “distance makes the heart grow fonder.” When spending time at home I dabble in the culinary arts and have found interior decorating to be my most recent interest (currently remodeling).
Something unique that most people don't know about me: I have never Alpine (downhill) skied. I learned to snowboard when I was seventeen and have never thought twice about two things attached to my feet. I do enjoy Nordic (cross-country) skiing but, snowboarding keeps me on the mountain.
